Police officers listening to DGP Rajeev Krishna online
Jagran correspondent, Bareilly. Mission Shakti Skill Workshop was held on Friday in GIC Auditorium. State DGP Rajiv Krishna joined online in this. He said that the establishment of Mission Shakti Center at the police station level proved effective. The most important thing here is communication and sensitivity. He said that the first ten minutes are most important for the victims coming to Mission Shakti Kendra.
They should be resolved by listening to them seriously. Its meaningful results are already visible. The program started at 9.30 am under the leadership of DIG Ajay Kumar Sahni, in which Supreme Court advocate Dr. Shantanu, Dr. Jaswinder of SRMS, psychologist Dr. Manali and Gynecology and Obstetrics specialist Dr. Shashiwala were included as speakers.
Dr. Jaswinder said that justice always starts from the police station, that is the first impression. After coming to the police station, the police should appreciate the victim because he is scared. Psychologist Dr. Manali said that the mental condition of the victim should be explained.
He told that within the first 10 minutes it is decided whether the victims will trust the police or not. He told that everyone should talk to the victim in a sensitive manner. After this, Gynecologist and Obstetrician Dr. Shashiwala told that at the time of examination of any woman, it is not necessary that a woman is needed along with her only when a man is doing medical examination.
Even if a woman is treating the victim, it is mandatory to have another woman along with her. At the same time, Supreme Court advocate Dr. Shantanu gave a lecture related to the standard operating procedure (SOP) in crimes related to women. At the same time, Jai Govind Singh of Family Counseling Center Amla shared the experience of successful mediation of 100 broken families.
Importance of MSK explained through street drama
In the programme, students of SRMIS showed the impact of Mission Shakti through street drama. Earlier, when a rape victim went to the police station, she was given a walk, but with the opening of Mission Shakti Kendra, it became easier to help that victim. Neither did he fear anything nor was his identity leaked. It showed the change in police work after the establishment of Mission Shakti Kendra.
ADG Ramit Sharma, Commissioner Bhupendra S Chaudhary, DIG Ajay Kumar Sahni, SSP Anurag Arya, CDO Devyani, SP South Anshika Verma, SP Traffic Akmal Khan and MSK in-charges and women constables of all the police stations of the range participated in the program.
