PTI, Diphu. The Assam government has ordered the expulsion of three illegal Bangladeshi immigrants from Karbi Anglong district. These Bangladeshis have been asked to leave the country within 24 hours of receiving the expulsion order.

Officials said on Saturday that this instruction has been issued under Section 2 of the Migrant (Expulsion from Assam) Act. These three Bangladeshis were declared illegal immigrants by the Foreigners Tribunal in December through three separate orders.

Separate deportation orders signed by the District Commissioner were handed over to the three foreign nationals on Saturday. All three were identified as Mohammad Fakruddin, resident of Bokajan police station area, and Mohammad Rafiqul Ali and Mohammad Faizul Haq, residents of Manja police station area.

The expulsion order states that the presence of the declared foreigner is detrimental to the internal security of the state. The order said that in case of non-compliance of the expulsion order, the government will initiate appropriate action to expel them from the state and the country.
