Three Indians arrested for firing outside house in Canada (symbolic photo)
PTI, Ottawa. Canadian police have arrested three Indian nationals for firing outside a house. Surrey Police Service (SPS) said on Monday that Indian youths Harjot Singh, Taranveer Singh and Dayajit Singh Billing have been charged with the shooting and have all been remanded in custody until Thursday.
Police were patrolling the Crescent Beach area of Surrey on February 1 when they received reports of shots fired and a fire outside a home near Crescent Road and 132nd Street, Lakeland Today reported. It was told by the police that after some time the police officers arrested the three accused.
The crime branch of the police has registered a case against the three accused under the Criminal Code. The investigation into the case is ongoing and other sections may be added to the case.
According to the police, all three accused have been sent to custody till February 5. Police confirmed all were foreign nationals and have contacted the Canada Border Services Agency.
