Five people traveling in a private bus going to Lucknow were injured in the accident.
Jagran correspondent, Mau. Near Sutrahi village on the Muhammadabad Gohna-Azamgarh road, three vehicles collided with each other due to dense fog at around 7 am on Saturday morning. In this accident, five people traveling in a private bus going to Lucknow were injured.
As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and removed the damaged bus to the roadside with the help of JCB. The injured were sent to the Community Health Center, where everyone was referred after first aid.
The injured include 58-year-old Markandey, resident of Salahabad in Dakshintola police station area, his 46-year-old wife Madhuri, 20-year-old Sanjana Rajbhar, 48-year-old JP Singh, resident of Padri village of Ranipur police station area and 20-year-old Anand Kushwaha, resident of Ramgarh in Kasimabad police station area of Ghazipur district. According to the information, this private bus going from Muhammadabad Gohna to Lucknow collided with the Toronto gas supply tanker moving ahead.
In the context of the accident, it has been told that at the same place at around 4 am in the morning, a tractor carrying sugarcane to a sugar mill overturned, due to which five people were already injured. After this incident, traffic was disrupted for about an hour on the lane going from Muhammadabad Gohna towards Azamgarh.
Local people say that visibility was reduced due to dense fog, which led to the accident. The police arranged for an ambulance to immediately take the injured to the hospital. The injured were treated at the Community Health Centre, where their condition is said to be stable.
Drivers need to be more cautious during dense fog in winter. All vehicles plying on the road must obey speed limits and exercise caution during foggy times. The local administration has also assured to increase security measures on the road after this incident.
