Tiger's Footprints Seen In Wheat Field In Lakhimpur Kheri, Panic Among Villagers

Jagran correspondent, Lakhimpur. There is panic among the farmers regarding the presence of tiger in the fields between village Saraiya William Kamalapur of Kakarha Beat. Farmers say that the tiger kept roaming in the fields throughout the night on Friday, due to which there was an atmosphere of panic among the villagers. On Saturday morning, footprints of a tiger were seen in the wheat field.

Forest Inspector Rohit Kumar said that on the information of the villagers, he went to the spot with the team and confirmed the footprints of the tiger. He told that Saidapur, Hazratpur, Kandhrapur, Saraiyawilliam villages are adjacent to the forest. The villagers have been made aware that before working in the fields, they should go before doing Haka.

Farmers say that this is the time to irrigate and fertilize wheat fields. The same sugarcane peeling work is also going on. Farmers Kulwant, Harvansh Singh, Paramjit Singh, Aviral Dixit, Deep Singh, Sappu Dixit, Rajiv Dixit say that if the forest department team does not take any action, some day some untoward incident may happen.
