Jagran correspondent, Gorakhpur. In an attempt to prove the truth a lie, a man killed his own buffalo. It is alleged that this has been done with the intention of extorting huge amount of money. On Friday, the victim youth reached the police office and requested the day officer for a fair investigation.
The matter is of Bari village of Khajni area. Rajesh, a resident of the village, told in the application given to the police that on January 7, the buffalo of a person from the village got scared by the horn of the bike and collided with the nearby tank. On the request of the cattle farmer, he got the buffalo treated, after which it became completely healthy.
It is alleged that despite this the cattle rearer started demanding Rs 30 thousand. On refusing to give the money, on January 15, the accused himself beat his buffalo badly and tried to file a false case by showing it injured.
Rajesh says that he has the video of the buffalo being completely healthy. Khajni police station in-charge Jayant Singh said that the matter is being investigated. Whatever facts emerge in the investigation, further action will be taken on the basis of the same.
