Toto and auto drivers fight in the middle of the road, creating chaos
Jagran Correspondent, Asansol: A fierce fight took place between toto and auto drivers on Saturday near BNR turn of Asansol. Auto and Toto drivers flouted the law and kicked each other fiercely in the middle of the road. Due to which there was an atmosphere of chaos in BNR area for about half an hour. Neither the traffic police nor anyone from Asansol South Police Fadi came to handle the situation, whereas just a few hundred meters away, apart from the Asansol Durgapur Police Commissioner's office, there is the court complex, Asansol Jail. There is a traffic police booth just two steps away from the place where the incident took place. Traffic police officers and civic volunteers are always present at the booth. Due to this incident many questions have been raised on the security arrangements here.
Mohammad Sidab, who was injured in the incident, told that he was going to Hatton Road in his auto, he came to the BNR signal and stood there. When the signal opened, there was a Toto in front of him, which runs from BNR to Burnpur. When he asked the toto driver to move away from the front, the toto driver started abusing him. When he protested against the abuse, the Toto driver made him cry at the signal and called some of his other associates and beat him mercilessly. After the beating, the auto driver also called his other associates and started fighting with the toto drivers at the BNR turn and within no time the entire area became a battlefield.
