Jagran correspondent, Unnao. While trying to overtake a bike rider on Ajgain-Mohan road, a speeding dumper hit the auto. In the accident, three passengers sitting in the auto died and five people were injured.
In Ajgain area, the auto driver was going from Ajgain towards Mohan with seven passengers. Around 8:30 am on Saturday morning, a dumper coming at a speed of about 80 km per hour hit the auto from the front of a petrol pump located in Makur village. The collision was so strong that the auto was badly damaged.
60-year-old Puttilal Lodhi, 45-year-old Ramashankar resident Maddukheda Ajgain and a 40-year-old unknown person sitting in the auto died. Five passengers including the driver were seriously injured. According to the villagers, the dumper was coming from Mohan's direction. Everyone got trapped in the auto after the head-on collision.

The dumper driver absconded. The police arrived after 20 minutes and somehow took everyone out and admitted them to CHC Nawabganj. From there he has been referred to the district hospital. During this period, traffic was disrupted for an hour. ASP South Premchandra took information about the accident. ASP said that the dumper driver is being searched.
