On Monday, a truck operator died tragically after being hit by high tension wires while unloading construction material from a truck in a village of Kapurpur police station area in Hapur. There was chaos at the spot after the accident. The police have taken the body into their custody and sent it for post-mortem.
The deceased has been identified as Shahzor Khan, a resident of Palwal district of Haryana. According to the information, Shehzor Khan used to work as a conductor on a truck transporting gravel for the last several years.
On Monday afternoon, he had reached Narayanpur Baska village of Kapurpur police station area loaded with road blocks to deliver supplies. As soon as driver Rizwan lifted the rear part of the truck with the help of a lift to unload the load, the front part of the truck touched the high tension power line passing above. Due to this, current ran throughout the truck.
It was told that at that time Shehzor Khan was standing behind the truck and handling it. As soon as the current came suddenly, he got hit by it and got seriously burnt. People present nearby tried to immediately take him to the hospital, but he died on the way. The good thing was that the driver jumped away from the truck in time, which saved his life.
On receiving the information, police reached the spot and conducted necessary investigation. Police station in-charge Vinod Pandey said that one person has died due to electric shock. Legal action is being taken in the matter. As soon as the news of the accident was received, there was chaos among the family members of the deceased.
