New York, Times, West Palm Beach (Florida). US President Donald Trump will retreat from his efforts to deploy the National Guard in the country's three major cities, Chicago, Los Angeles and Portland. He said Wednesday that he would abandon efforts to deploy the National Guard in these cities for now.

The decision comes after the Supreme Court ruled last week that Trump could not deploy National Guard troops to the Chicago area due to opposition from Illinois officials.

Although the President made no mention of this decision in his announcement, he said his administration would not hesitate to deploy troops in the future.

Trump wrote on his Internet platform Truth Social, 'When the chaos increases again, we will probably come back in a very different and stronger form. it's only a matter of time.' However, this announcement may have limited impact on the ground, as these troops have almost no presence in Portland and Chicago due to legal challenges. But National Guard deployment will remain in Washington, DC, Orleans, Memphis and Tennessee.
