Jagran correspondent, Sonbhadra. Two children of the same family got burnt due to an explosion of unknown material while playing in Salkhan Gram Panchayat of Chopan police station area. A child lost his vision in his right eye. After first aid at the Government Medical College on Thursday, the child was referred to BHU. The second child is undergoing treatment in the medical college itself. His face is burnt.

Eight-year-old son of Salkhan resident Nagendra Singh Gond, Atish Ranjan, his nephew, four-year-old Prashant Kumar and two children of the neighborhood were playing near their house at around 3 pm on Wednesday. Meanwhile there was an explosion of unknown material. Aatish and Prashant got burnt due to this.

His face was injured by the explosion. Aatish lost the vision in his right eye. When the children started screaming, their relatives reached the spot. Saw that both the children were burnt. On this, his relatives were taking him to the Government Medical College on bike at around 4 pm. On reaching Markundi, a pickup hit the bike.

Due to this, Kamlesh Gond, son of Nagendra's maternal uncle, who was riding the bike, got injured. One of his legs was broken. Then the relative called the ambulance. All three injured were brought to the medical college by ambulance. All three were admitted here. Due to loss of vision in one eye, Aatish was referred to BHU on Thursday afternoon.

Nagendra Singh Gond told that he was not at home. Went to work. He got information about the incident through phone. No one could find out what caused the explosion. On the other hand, Inspector Kumud Shekhar Singh, in-charge of Chopan police station said that this matter is not in his cognizance. Appropriate action will be taken after investigation.
