Budget session will start in UP Assembly from Monday
Digital Desk, Lucknow. The budget session 2026-27 of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly will start from February 9. On Monday, the first day of the session, Honorable Governor Anandi Ben Patel will address before both the Houses of the Legislature (Assembly and Legislative Council). On February 10, condolences will be expressed on the demise of current and former members of the House. The proceedings of the House are proposed till February 20.
The budget for the financial year 2026-27 will be presented by Finance Minister Suresh Khanna on 11 February (Wednesday). After this there will be discussion on the Governor's address (motion of thanks). The House will function regularly till February 13. The House meeting will be adjourned since February 14 and 15 are Saturday and Sunday respectively. The proceedings of the House will start again from 16th February.
Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana has requested all the members for successful functioning of the House. Meanwhile, Leader of the House (Chief Minister) Yogi Adityanath has urged all the members to raise public issues in the House and cooperate with the government to give impetus to the development of the state by having healthy discussions.
