Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Bhatkhande Cultural University is visible from floor to ceiling today. Many congratulations on the centenary year. This launch of the Centenary Festival is not just a formality. This is the moment of India's cultural consciousness and national consciousness. Which has given a new identity to generation after generation.
Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya preserved Indian music and drama in those hundred years. It has been proved that a cultural worker can also contribute in nation building. The soul of a nation lies in its culture. If culture is separated from the nation, it becomes ruins.
The Chief Minister said that in 1940, Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore addressed this institution of Lucknow as a university in his letter. From 1947 to 2017, governments came and went, but no attention was paid to this.
The then Governor Ram Naik said that this institute could get the status of university. As envisioned by Rabindranath Tagore, our government recognized it as a university in 2022. This is the first cultural university of the state.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that everyone should respect the artist. The government will work to ensure that artists get a safe environment. The government will make policies for their health, training and employment.

The new building of the university will be built on six acres of land
He said that the government has provided six acres of land in Lucknow, where the new building of Bhatkhande Sanskriti University will be built. It will be of global standard for education, research and practice. He said that there should be an open theater here and at least two auditoriums. There should be a library. We will convert the old building into a museum and will collect the data of all the teachers, famous students and other people associated with it in the last hundred years and keep it in the museum. Regarding the centenary year, he said that this time, hundred presentations of old students should be organized on different days. So that people can get information about them also. Vice Chancellor Professor Manvi Singh welcomed the Chief Minister. The children of the institute sang the Kul Geet. The Vice Chancellor said that the journey that started from the Music Institute has reached the Culture University. This university is a member of the Association of Indian Universities. The Chief Minister released a table book titled Legacy of Excellence of Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya and said that old pictures can also be seen through it.
On the occasion of the centenary year of Lucknow Bhatkhande Sanskriti University, the Chief Minister honored former student Kathak dancer Dr. Purnima Pandey, Padmashree folk singer Malini Awasthi, singer Dilraj Kaur and music arranger Keval Kumar.
