Uproar After Death Of Patient In Medical College In Madhepura, Hospital Became Police Cantonment

Jagran correspondent, Madhepura. There was a huge uproar at Jan Nayak Karpuri Thakur Medical College on Thursday night due to the death of a patient. The angry relative assaulted the doctor and health workers posted in the emergency ward. In which Hospital Deputy Superintendent Dr. Anjani Kumar also got injured.

The junior doctors gathered amid the ruckus also beat up the relatives of the deceased. On receiving information about the incident, police from Sinheshwar and Madhepura police stations reached the spot and controlled the situation.

Sunil Yadav, resident of Haripur Kala ward number six of Murliganj, was admitted to the medical college on Thursday night. The patient was in an unconscious state. The patient died during treatment. As soon as the relatives heard the news of the death, they became furious and started abusing and assaulting the doctor. People beat up doctors and staff.

Somehow he was saved due to the intervention of local people and other doctors. The doctor says that the patient's blood pressure was extremely high and his condition was critical. The relatives alleged wrong treatment and held the doctor responsible for the death.

As soon as the junior doctor got information about the incident, he got angry and caught the young man involved in the fight and beat him up. When the situation went out of control, heavy police force reached the hospital and controlled the situation. Emergency services have come to a standstill since the incident. At present the medical college has been converted into a police cantonment. Sinheshwar police station incharge Vinod Kumar Singh said that the situation is under control. Further action will be taken upon receipt of the application.
