Meerut. For the purpose of environmental protection, NCRTC prepared the walls for the corridor by assembling blocks made of fly ash and C&D waste. During the construction work of the corridor, a lot of waste etc. was generated. This debris was sent to the C&D plant in Ghaziabad.

The debris was crushed and prepared for re-use. These blocks have also been used in the construction of stairs in the station. This reduces the use of bricks which helps in soil conservation.

Chemical admixtures include water reducing admixture, water proofing admixture, concrete bonding chemical, concrete curing compound, hardener, concrete repairing compound.
