Samvad Sutra, Ekangarsarai. The government has taken an important initiative towards widening the extremely busy Daniyawan-Hilsa-Ekangarsarai-Hulasganj road from Daniyawan to Hulasganj.
In response to the starred question asked by MLA Ruhail Ranjan in the second session of Bihar Assembly, the Road Construction Minister said that a detailed plan has been prepared for the widening and strengthening of the said road.
According to the departmental reply, this route from Chainage 0.00 Km to Km 44.155 (total length 44.155 Km) remains the center of frequent jams and accidents due to its extreme narrowness and heavy traffic pressure.
Keeping this in mind, an estimate of Rs 330 crore 89 lakh 40 thousand has been prepared for the widening and strengthening of the road.
Accidents will be stopped
The Road Construction Department has clarified that further action will be taken on the project based on the availability of resources and priority. After the implementation of the plan, along with the ease of traffic on this important connectivity route, regional development is also expected to gain momentum.
Local people say that the widening of this road will provide relief to many nearby villages including Daniyawan, Hilsa, Ekangarsarai and Hulasganj and will also prevent accidents occurring every day.
This route is like a lifeline for trade, education and health services, hence people have been demanding its widening for a long time. Now after the information about the plan being prepared by the government has come to light, there is hope in the area that this important road will soon be rejuvenated.
