Jagran correspondent, Dehradun. After a long wait, the weather took a turn in Uttarakhand on Friday. Cold winds started blowing from early morning and there was rain and snowfall at some places. Snowfall occurred in the high peaks of Kedarnath, Badrinath and Hemkund. Due to which the cold returned. An alert of rain and snowfall has also been issued by the Meteorological Department on Friday.
The first snowfall occurred in Mussoorie this winter. Due to which the faces of tourists and local businessmen lit up. Snow fell till Mall Road. But could not freeze due to strong winds. Four months after the departure of monsoon, there was drizzle and snow in Mussoorie. Snowfall also occurred in Dhanaulti and Surkanda.
