What Will Be The Timing And Fare Of Heli Taxi In Himachal, Service Will Be Available From Shimla To Chandigarh, Reckong Peo And Bhuntar.

Heli taxi service has started in Himachal Pradesh.

State Bureau, Shimla. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu on Wednesday started heli taxi service from Sanjauli in Shimla to Chandigarh, Reckong Peo (Kinnaur) and Bhuntar (Kullu). With the launch of Heli Taxi service, businessmen, employees, patients and tourists will get the option of safe and convenient travel while saving time. This is being considered an important step towards expanding air connectivity in Himachal.

When and how much will the fare be?

-Heli taxi service will be available from Shimla to Chandigarh three days a week on Monday, Friday and Saturday. The fare will be only Rs 3,169 per passenger. -Two flights will operate daily from Shimla to Bhuntar in Kullu, for which a fare of Rs 3,500 will have to be paid. There will also be a daily flight to Reckong Peo in Kinnaur, Shimla and the fare will be Rs 4,000 per passenger.

Heritage Aviation will provide service to Kullu and Reckong Peo.

Under the heli taxi operation, Heritage Aviation will operate daily services from Sanjauli Heliport to Kullu and Reckong Peo, while Pawan Hans Limited will operate flights from Chandigarh to Sanjauli Heliport thrice a week. Pawan Hans Limited flights will also be started from Sanjauli to Rampur, Reckong Peo and Manali soon.

The first attempt was made in 2011

The first attempt to start heli taxi service in the state was made in the year 2011. At that time Pawan Hans had started service from Anadale to Kullu-Manali to Leh at Rs 9900 per ticket. After that, in the year 2019, heli taxi service was also started from Jubbarhatti of Shimla to Chandigarh and Kangnidhar of Mandi, Mandi to Bhuntar, Bhuntar to Dharamshala and Rampur. This heli taxi service was operated under RCS i.e. Regional Connectivity Scheme. At that time the fare rates of heli taxi ranged from Rs 2500 to Rs 3300. The heli taxi service was closed after completion of three years as it was under RCS.
