Jagran correspondent, Jalaun. On Tuesday night, a woman was murdered in a village in the Kotwali area and her body was found naked in a mustard field. On the complaint of the nephew, the police registered a case of murder and started investigation.
A 30-year-old youth from the same village entered under the influence of alcohol and attempted rape. When the woman protested, her clothes were pulled. The woman ran out of the house screaming and fell in the courtyard. During this time the accused strangled her to death.
The next day, when the police and forensic team investigated, they found some shoe marks on the soil as it was wet. When the police proceeded with the investigation, wet soil from the same field was found outside the accused's house also.
When the police arrested the accused and interrogated him strictly, he told that after failing in the rape, he committed the murder. The police have sent the accused to jail after presenting him in the court.
The dead body of a 55-year-old woman was found in a field outside her house in a village in the Kotwali area. There was blood and bangles lying in the courtyard of the house while there was blood on the bed also. The deceased used to pluck pea pods.
When the woman did not come out of the house on Wednesday morning, her nephew and villagers went inside the house to see her. Where he was searched after seeing blood.

When the police started investigation from the spot where the body was found, they found shoe marks on the wet agricultural soil. Following the mud marks left on the shoes, the police reached the house of the accused. When investigated, there was mud outside the house of accused 30-year-old Chhatrapal.
After this, the police detained Chhatrapal and interrogated him strictly. Chhatrapal told that he had tried to rape her but when she protested, he strangled the woman.
After death, the body was thrown in the field. Police have also recovered mud stained shoes and blood stained paint from the accused. The accused has been produced in the court and sent to jail.
