Congress State President Vinay Kumar
State Bureau, Shimla. State Congress President Vinay Kumar has said that Union Health Minister JP Nadda should publicly clarify that under which scheme, how much amount has been given to Himachal under which item by the Central Government. The allegations made by Nadda in Shimla have nothing to do with the truth. Vinay Kumar said in a statement issued here that till date the Central Government has not given a single rupee to Himachal in the name of the disaster. Three months ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced a disaster relief amount of Rs 1500 crore, but till now the state has not received this amount.
90 days have passed since it was announced
It also takes about 96 hours to reach Shimla from Delhi on foot, whereas more than 90 days have passed since the announcement and the state is still being made to wait.
Hollow claims made even in double engine
He said that before this there was a double engine government in the state, but even during that time the claims of BJP proved to be hollow. The economy of the state was badly affected during the BJP rule. Nadda's workplace has been Himachal, hence understanding the pain of the disaster-hit state, he should immediately release the amount of Rs 1500 crore announced by the Prime Minister. Vinay said that being a Union Minister, Nadda neither gave any concrete assurance to the state nor announced any real help.
No assistance given in three years
He said, in three years, the Central Government did not provide any special assistance to the state, while the BJP MPs kept presenting false figures to mislead the public. The Central Government has withheld the amount of pension share of the employees. Assistance provided under central schemes has been cut and the loan limit of the state has also been unfairly restricted. The Congress party will continue to fight for the rights of Himachal from the center to the Parliament.
