This meeting will be at the technical level and will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on 23 and 24 January. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has given this information.
Ukrainian President Zelensky made this announcement during a panel discussion during the ongoing World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. He said that this is the first time that the three countries will sit together for talks. Zelensky expressed hope that from this meeting some way could be found towards ending the war. He said, "There will be a trilateral meeting tomorrow and the day after. It is better to have dialogue than no dialogue."

This statement came at a time when Zelensky had a meeting with US President Donald Trump for about an hour. Trump described this conversation as good. Zelensky said the Ukrainian delegation met with the US team on Thursday. After this the American team will go to Russia.
He said jokingly, "Our people are meeting the Americans today, then the Americans will meet the Russians. When and how I don't know, maybe Putin is sleeping. You were the one who said that no one knows what is going on in his mind."
In what format will the meeting take place?
Zelensky clearly said that not only Ukraine, but all parties will have to be ready for an agreement. "Everyone should be ready for compromise, not just Ukraine. This is very important for us," he said.
However, he did not clarify what format the talks would take or whether the officials would hold face-to-face talks. The Ukrainian President said that the results of these meetings will be revealed in the coming days and then the future direction will be clear.
