When she protested, the woman and her relative were beaten. The victim informed relatives about the matter in Chandausi. Relatives caught one of the accused teenagers from the train that reached Chandausi station. The remaining accused absconded.
GRP Chandausi reached the commotion and handed over the accused to Bareilly GRP as the matter was there. The woman, resident of Ghaziabad, told that on Friday night she and her brother were returning home from Bareilly by Daurai-Tanakpur Express train. Along with him, his aunt and her son, resident of Chandausi, were also in the train. When the train started from Bareilly Junction, a teenager from Delhi and Ghaziabad returning from Tanakpur and half a dozen of his friends boarded the train. Who molested her on the way.
When they protested, aunts and brothers were beaten. It is alleged that 30 thousand rupees in cash, earrings and gold chain were also snatched. When the train reached Chandausi station, the woman's relatives protested against the incident. GRP also reached on information. The police arrested a minor who assaulted the woman, while the other accused absconded.
Chandausi GRP in-charge Ajit Pratap said that the dispute is of Bareilly GRP area. The accused has been handed over to Bareilly GRP. Bareilly GRP in-charge Sushil Verma said that there was a dispute between both the parties regarding the seat. The relatives of the accused and the victim have been called.
