World's Largest Shivling In Bihar, Mahabhishek Will Be Done With The Water Of 5 Rivers On January 17; Flower Shower From Helicopter

Jagran correspondent, Patna. The world's largest Shivalinga will be installed with rituals on January 17 in the Virat Ramayana temple being built in East Champaran. During this time, Mahabhishek of Shivalinga will be done with the water of five holy rivers.

For this, Abhishek will be done with the water of Haridwar, Prayagraj, Gangotri, Kailash Mansarovar, Sonpur etc. There will also be flower shower from helicopter during the installation. Magh Krishna Chaturdashi date is 17th January. According to religious beliefs, Shivalinga was born on this day and Lord Shiva was worshiped in the form of Linga.

The importance of this day is considered similar to Shivratri. During the press conference at the Mahavir Temple on Sunday, Mahavir Sthan Trust Committee Secretary Sayan Kunal said that the Shivalinga will only be installed and will not be consecrated until the construction of the temple is completed.

The target is to complete the Virat Ramayana Temple by 2030. By 2030, all the deities will be consecrated in the temple and after that it will be opened for darshan.

Scholars will come on the day of foundation

Pandit Bhavnath Jha told that a grand yagya will also be organized on the day of foundation. There will be scholars of all four Vedas in it. The puja will start from 8.30 am and Shivling will be installed in the afternoon. After the puja, food and prasad will be distributed. Seven Pandits will go from Mahavir temple for worship.

After Shivalinga, Nandi will be constructed separately. It will also be made of black granite stone. Talks are going on with Arun Yogiraj, who built the idol of Lord Shri Ram installed in the Ram temple of Ayodhya. It is being considered that the main deity in the temple will be constructed from him.

Construction of Shivalinga has been going on for 10 years

Shivalinga was being constructed in Pattikadu village of Mahabalipuram for the last 10 years. It is carved from a single black granite monolith stone. Its length is 33 feet and weight is 210 metric tons. 1008 Sahastralingams have been prepared on it. On November 21, Virat left for Ramayana Temple in a 96-wheeler truck from Mahabalipuram.

Virat Ramayana Temple is being constructed by the Mahavir Temple Trust Committee. The piling work of the temple entrance, Ganesh Sthal, Singh Dwar, sanctum sanctorum has been completed. The temple will be 1080 feet long and 540 feet wide. A total of 18 peaks and 22 temples will be established in it.

The height of the main peak will be 270 feet, height of four peaks will be 180 feet, height of one peak will be 135 feet, height of eight peaks will be 108 feet and height of one peak will be 90 feet.

Reached Bihar in 45 days

Shivalinga, which left from Mahabalipuram on November 21, reached Bihar on Saturday in 45 days via Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh. Virat Shivling reached Gopalganj on Saturday after covering a distance of more than 2,500 kilometers.

Devotees welcomed Shivling with its arrival at Balthari in Gopalganj on Saturday. Where the vehicle is parked, a crowd of devotees is gathering to have its darshan. BK Mishra of the temple, Sudhakaran of the temple superintendent etc. were present during the talks.
