Jagran correspondent, Agra. Cyber thugs are robbing people of their lifetime capital. Many major incidents of cyber fraud took place throughout the year. Many cases did not even reach the police station. Some cases were put on hold by the police in the name of investigation. In a year, 185 cases of cyber fraud have been registered in the cyber police station alone.
Thugs also targeted educated people and businessmen
Innocent people of Tajnagari were made their victims by cyber thugs by arresting them digitally. Some were intimidated and threatened by posing as customs officers and some by posing as police officers. People were cheated of their lifetime capital by making big digital arrests. The victims lodged complaints at the cyber police station. At present 20 major cases are being investigated by Cyber Police Station. Due to the digital arrest network being operated from abroad, the police has not been able to reach the main criminals.

However, Agra Police has taken major action against cyber thugs. Rs crore has also been returned. If digital arrest cases reach CBI, the victims are expected to get back the defrauded amount. ADCP Aditya said that the police has exposed many big cases related to cyber crime. A large number of criminals have been caught and sent to jail. The action will continue further also.

If there is cyber fraud or any digital arrest, then immediately call the National Cyber Crime Helpline number 1930. Along with this, lodge a complaint with the police helpline number 112 and the nearest police station as well as the cyber police station.
185 cases of cyber fraud are registered in the cyber police station. In these cases alone, cyber fraudsters have defrauded about Rs 18 crore in a year. After recovering an amount of Rs 4.78 crore, the Cyber Police has also returned it to the victims. An amount of Rs 5.16 crore has been made free in the accounts. Police took action against 150 cyber thugs and arrested 78 and sent them to jail.
