Jagran correspondent, Greater Noida. The 130 meter wide road of Greater Noida will also become the lifeline of Yamuna Authority area. Officials of both the authorities will soon hold a meeting to expand the road up to Noida International Airport in the Yamuna Authority area. YIDA has included the construction of this road in its important project for the next year.
It is estimated that Rs 1500 crore will be spent on land acquisition for about 25 km long road in Yida area. Starting from Greater Noida West, the 130 meter wide road currently ends at Sirsa village. Presently its length is 27 km.
In the master plan, this road moves ahead from Sirsa and connects to the 130 meter road of Yida in Dankaur area. Through this, starting from Greater Noida West, the proposed Palwal Khurja Expressway will be connected to Noida International Airport through this road.
At present this road is built till Sirsa. With the opening of Noida International Airport, the need for this road will increase significantly. Therefore the authority is constructing a busway along this road. YIDA will soon hold a meeting with Greater Noida Authority officials to extend the road beyond Sirsa and connect it to Noida International Airport.
YIDA CEO Rakesh Kumar Singh says that with the construction of this road, another alternative route from Noida Airport to Greater Noida will be created. In the Master Plan 2041 of Yamuna Authority, residential sectors one, two, three, four and institutional and industrial sectors have been proposed along this road.
Road construction is very important for the development of these sectors. The meeting will consider jointly bearing the construction cost of the road. Both the authorities will acquire land for the road in their respective areas. NHAI has given in-principle consent for the construction of the road.
Flyover will have to be built on Eastern Peripheral
To connect the 130 meter road in Dankaur area with the remaining notified area of Greater Noida Authority and YIDA area, a flyover will be required to be constructed on the Eastern Peripheral. Only after this will this road be connected to Yida area. About 10 km long road will be built from Sirsa to the border of Yida area. After this, about 25 km stretch is in Yida area. However, a thirty meter road is being constructed for connectivity to the cargo terminal of the airport. 130 meter road will be connected to it.
Ganga Expressway will also cross Link Road
The 130 meter wide road will also cross the link road of Ganga Expressway in Yamuna Authority area. The link road will start from the 44 km point of Ganga Expressway and will connect to Sayana area of Bulandshahr near Film City on Yamuna Expressway. Its width is 130 meters. With this, there will be connectivity of roads in Yida area.
