Samvad Sutra, Bettiah (West Champaran). Bettiah railway station: DRM of Samastipur division Jyoti Prakash Mishra arrived on Sunday for surprise inspection of Bettiah railway station. After reaching the station at 12.22 pm by DRM special train, he took stock of the station premises along with the officials.
During the inspection, the DRM became angry after seeing the irregularities in the construction of public toilets. Seeing cement, sand and dirt on the toilet seats, he strongly reprimanded IWO Manjay Kumar and directed to make immediate improvements. He also asked for separate clear boards for men and women toilets.
DRM also appeared dissatisfied with the cleanliness system at the station. He instructed INHM Sanjay Dubey to improve the cleanliness of the premises. He laid special emphasis on giving priority to the convenience of passengers.

Inspection of temporary booking office and waiting room
Construction work is going on to give Bettiah Railway Station a modern and airport-like look. Under this, temporary booking offices and waiting rooms are being created. DRM also inspected these works and directed the contractor to complete the construction as soon as possible.
He directed Station Superintendent Vijay Kumar Srivastava and CS DN Tripathi to construct first class and second class waiting rooms keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers.
Expressed satisfaction on circulating area
डीआरएम ज्योति प्रकाश मिश्रा ने स्टेशन के सर्कुलेटिंग एरिया का भी निरीक्षण किया। He seemed satisfied after seeing its arrangement. He gave instructions to put up banners, posters and wall writing here. Along with this, IOW Manjay Kumar was sent to Sugauli Railway Station and ordered to strengthen the circulating area there.
This surprise inspection of DRM created panic among railway officials and employees. Officials have been instructed to be more vigilant regarding the facilities and cleanliness of the passengers.
