Ambala police station blast: Fourth accused arrested from Jammu. photo awakening
Jagran correspondent, Ambala city. The CIA-1 team has arrested another accused in the conspiracy to blow up Baldev Nagar police station. This is the fourth arrest so far. The accused Raman is a resident of Sector-06 Model Town Gangyal, Jammu.
After interrogating the real brothers of Firozpur arrested earlier, the police arrested Raman. Investigation revealed that Raman had transferred the money to the accounts of the two accused brothers. He will be produced in court on Monday and taken on remand.
On the other hand, on Sunday, the police took both the brothers to many places in Punjab. Now efforts are being made to arrest the fifth accused of Firozpur. Till now, Karmjeet alias Tony of Patiala has been sent to jail in judicial custody on Saturday after three days' remand.
It was Karmjeet who had brought the car from near the Pakistan border and made a video by parking the car in the police station along with explosives and LPG cylinders of five kilos each. Police have also recovered the chatting between the accused and Pakistani gangster Shahzad Bhatti.
After the Pakistani link, now with the arrest of Raman, wires have been connected to Delhi, Haryana-Punjab and Jammu. The car used was from Delhi. The police have taken both the real brothers of Firozpur on remand for seven days and are investigating.
The car was parked at Baldev Nagar police station on January 10.
On January 10, a Maruti car was parked to blow up the Baldev Nagar police station. In this, a conspiracy was hatched to cause a blast with five kg LPG filled cylinders and explosives, but the police extinguished the fire in time and recovered the cylinders.
The CIA has so far arrested four accused in the case. The bars of the case are linked to Pakistani gangster Shahzad Bhatti. CIA teams have raided many possible targets in Punjab.
Police have so far recovered a Maruti 800 car, two cylinders, a broken LCD and a white colored seat. The LCD was stuck with tape. Explosive material was kept inside it.
