Now The Final Voter List Of Panchayat Elections Will Be Released On March 28, State Election Commission Extended The Deadline For Voter Revision.

The State Election Commission has extended the deadline for the voter verification campaign of Panchayat elections. Now the final voter list will be published on March 28, which was earlier on February 6. This decision has been taken due to receiving lakhs of claims and objections. The draft list published on December 22 had 12.69 crore voters, which is 40.19 lakh more than 2021.

4.69 Lakh Voters Reduced After SIR In Gonda, Notice Will Be Sent To 1.55 Lakh

Under the Special Intensive Revision Program (SIR) of Assembly electoral rolls in Gonda district, names of 4.69 lakh voters have been removed, taking the total number of voters to 20.82 lakh. Most of the names have been removed from Sadar assembly constituency. The District Election Officer published the draft. Notices will be sent to 1.55 lakh voters with no mapping, and youth who complete 18 years on January 1, 2026 can apply.

Married Woman's Body Found Hanging Under Suspicious Circumstances, Sent For Postmortem

The dead body of a married woman, Diksha Singh, 25, was found hanging under suspicious circumstances in Unji Pipri village of Duboulia in Basti. Husband Gaurav Singh told that he broke the door and brought his wife down, but on reaching CHC, she was declared dead. Police have sent the body for post-mortem and investigation into the case is ongoing.

Sonipat Accident: Scooty Rammed Into Truck On Nangal Khurd Flyover Of NH-44, Three Friends From Delhi Died.

A tragic accident took place on Nangal Khurd flyover of NH-44 in Sonipat. Three friends from Delhi riding a scooter entered the truck. In the accident, two died on the spot, while one died in the hospital. All three were not wearing helmets. Mayank Sharma was the only son among the deceased. Police are investigating the matter and the truck driver is absconding.
