Now The Final Voter List Of Panchayat Elections Will Be Released On March 28, State Election Commission Extended The Deadline For Voter Revision.

The State Election Commission has extended the deadline for the voter verification campaign of Panchayat elections. Now the final voter list will be published on March 28, which was earlier on February 6. This decision has been taken due to receiving lakhs of claims and objections. The draft list published on December 22 had 12.69 crore voters, which is 40.19 lakh more than 2021.

4.69 Lakh Voters Reduced After SIR In Gonda, Notice Will Be Sent To 1.55 Lakh

Under the Special Intensive Revision Program (SIR) of Assembly electoral rolls in Gonda district, names of 4.69 lakh voters have been removed, taking the total number of voters to 20.82 lakh. Most of the names have been removed from Sadar assembly constituency. The District Election Officer published the draft. Notices will be sent to 1.55 lakh voters with no mapping, and youth who complete 18 years on January 1, 2026 can apply.

Married Woman's Body Found Hanging Under Suspicious Circumstances, Sent For Postmortem

The dead body of a married woman, Diksha Singh, 25, was found hanging under suspicious circumstances in Unji Pipri village of Duboulia in Basti. Husband Gaurav Singh told that he broke the door and brought his wife down, but on reaching CHC, she was declared dead. Police have sent the body for post-mortem and investigation into the case is ongoing.

UGC Fact Finding Committee Reached Dharamshala, Student's Father Will Give Statement Before The Judge, College Professor Also Interrogated

UGC's Fact Finding Committee has arrived to investigate the death of Dharamshala College student. The committee of the Higher Directorate of Education also continued the investigation, in which the students and accused Professor Ashok Kumar were interrogated. The statement of the deceased's father will now be recorded before the judge. An accused student has been granted interim bail and is cooperating in the investigation.

In Jamui, Mother And Children Slept After Lighting A Bonfire Inside The House, Neighbors Saved Their Lives By Breaking The Door; Admitted To Hospital

In Jamui's Pado village, a mother and her two children became seriously ill after sleeping by burning borsi in the room to save themselves from the cold. Late Vipin Sharma's wife Sulekha Devi, 9-year-old son Rikki and 6-year-old daughter Priya Kumari became unconscious due to suffocation. In the morning, the family members broke the door and took him to Sadar Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. Mother's condition still remains critical.

Severe Cold Continues To Wreak Havoc In Jammu And Kashmir, Minus Nine Degrees In Gulmarg, No Relief For Two Weeks

Severe cold continues in Jammu and Kashmir, minimum temperatures are continuously falling. The mercury reached -8.8 degrees Celsius in Gulmarg, while it was -3.6 degrees in Srinagar. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be no respite from the cold for the next two weeks, although there may be light rain or snowfall in some upper areas. The phase of 'Chille Kalan' continues from 21st December.

Gross negligence has come to light in the vaccination campaign in Bagaha Do block. In-charge Medical Officer Dr. Rajesh Singh Neeraj has sought clarification from the seven ANMs who were found absent without notice. His honorarium is being cut for his absence from the vaccination program scheduled on January 5. They have been directed to respond within 24 hours, otherwise departmental action will be taken.

Sonipat Accident: Scooty Rammed Into Truck On Nangal Khurd Flyover Of NH-44, Three Friends From Delhi Died.

A tragic accident took place on Nangal Khurd flyover of NH-44 in Sonipat. Three friends from Delhi riding a scooter entered the truck. In the accident, two died on the spot, while one died in the hospital. All three were not wearing helmets. Mayank Sharma was the only son among the deceased. Police are investigating the matter and the truck driver is absconding.
