Electricity consumers in Lucknow are facing problems due to wrong bills and meter readers not reaching their homes. Many consumers like Munni Devi and Sanjeev Aggarwal are not receiving bills on time or with incorrect readings. Consumers are complaining that meter readers are doing 'table reading'. They are demanding resumption of self-reading or continuation of the facility till smart meters are installed.

In Meerut, Due To Holiday Of Children Up To 9th Class, Severe Cold And Fog, DM Issued Order

Due to severe cold and fog in Meerut, DM Dr. VK Singh has declared holiday in all schools from pre-nursery to class nine on January 7 and 8. This order will be strictly applicable on all boards. Schools for classes 10 to 12 will operate from 10 am to 3 pm, while examinations will be held as per schedule.

Final Voter List Of Graduate And Teacher Constituencies Of Legislative Council Released, 11 MLC Seats Falling Vacant In UP

The final voter list has been released for 11 seats of teacher and graduate quota of Legislative Council in Uttar Pradesh. These seats will become vacant on 6th December. Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa said that the list is based on the qualification date of November 1, 2025. The voter list will continue to be updated till the last date of nomination, due to which new voters will also be able to join.

Major Accident Averted In Punjab, Tires Of Tourist Bus Burst At Pathankot Chowk; Angry Mob Broke Glass

Suddenly two tires of a tourist bus burst near Pathankot Chowk in Jalandhar, due to which a major accident was averted. Angered by the delay in repairs, passengers demanded money back. The driver gave money to some, but the rest of the passengers vandalized the bus, broke the windows and ran away. The bus conductor has lodged a complaint in Police Station 8.

Police From Four Police Stations Engaged In Search Of Robbers In Gorakhpur, Two Suspects In Custody

There is panic in the police department after the audacious robbery of Rs 84 lakh at the house of retired accountant Balendra Singh in Rajhi, Gorakhpur. Under the leadership of CO Cantt, police and crime branch teams of four police stations are engaged in the investigation. Two suspects have been detained, while the search for the miscreants is going on through CCTV footage and mobile tower dump. The police have found the location of the robbers till Ramvapur village.

Big Relief To Epilepsy Patients, Therapeutic Drug Monitoring Test Will Be Free In Delhi AIIMS

AIIMS Delhi has started free therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) test for epilepsy patients. With this facility, the dosage will be decided by evaluating the blood levels of medicines like phenobarbital, carbamazepine, valproic acid and phenytoin. Patients will no longer have to pay expensive charges outside. This facility will be available at AIIMS Delhi and National Cancer Institute, Jhajjar, which will benefit thousands of patients.
