Chhattisgarh Liquor Scam: Bhupesh Baghel's Former Deputy Secretary Saumya Chaurasia Arrested

Saumya Chaurasia, who was the deputy secretary to the former Chief Minister in the liquor scam, has been sent to jail on 14-day judicial remand. ED had arrested him on 16 December. Soumya Chaurasia is accused of illegal earnings of Rs 115.5 crore. Investigation revealed that she was an active member of the liquor syndicate and had also played a role in posting in the Excise Department. The state government has suffered huge revenue loss due to this scam.

In Meerut, SDM's Steno Was Accused Of Losing The Affidavit, Villagers Created Ruckus, Agniveer Recruitment Process Came To A Standstill

Pithlokar resident youth Arman accused the SDM's steno of missing the affidavit, due to which the villagers created a ruckus at the SDM residence. Arman has been selected in Agniveer recruitment and he had to go to the tehsil to get the signature of the SDM on the affidavit for reporting in Meerut Cantt.

In Meerut, There Was A Fight Between Two Parties Over Capturing The Land Of A Religious Place, Four Injured And Two In Critical Condition, Seven People In Custody.

Violent clash broke out between two parties in Ambedkar Nagar located in Madhavpuram over the occupation of the land of a religious place. In this, four people including two women were injured, out of which the condition of two youths was critical and they were referred to the medical college. Police have detained seven people from both sides and the incident has been captured on CCTV.
