Digital Desk, Bhopal. At midnight, two students of class 9 escaped from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya located in Ratibad area by jumping over the wall. The school principal caught him smoking a cigarette and warned his parents to call him to school the next day. The students were frightened by this.

So that same night at around 1 o'clock when other students of their hostel hall slept, both of them jumped from the back wall of the school premises and ran away. The incident occurred on the intervening night of Friday-Saturday. The next day, when the school management complained to Ratibad police station, the police scanned the CCTV footage of the surrounding area. He was seen in Neelbad area at around 5 am on Saturday morning. Police teams are searching for the two missing students.

Ratibad police station in-charge Rasbihari Sharma said that 16-year-old Ankit's father Sarjan Singh Gurjar and Dheeraj's father Karan Singh Gurjar are residents of Berasia. Ankit is a resident of Kadhaiya village, while Dheeraj's family lives in Balachon. Both belong to farming families.

Both the students were studying in Navodaya Residential School, Ratibad since sixth class. Presently both the students were in ninth class.

According to information received from the school management, on Friday the school principal Pushpa Singh had seen Ankit and Dheeraj smoking cigarettes in the premises. On this he scolded both the students. Also, parents were also asked to call the school. All the students sleep together in the hostel hall.

At around 1 o'clock in the night, when the other students slept, both of them ran away from there. A missing complaint was lodged by the school on Saturday. When the police searched the CCTV footage, they were seen in Neelbad. The school management has already expelled both the students as punishment. Talks have been held with his relatives and acquaintances, but nothing has been found. Teams are busy searching.

There are 536 children studying in the school from class 6th to 12th. Both these children are residents of Berasia area. Disciplinary action has already been taken against both of them. The children were taken after their parents gave affidavits. The atmosphere of the hostel was deteriorating due to both the children. Two security personnel and two superintendents are deployed in the school premises and hostel at night. Both of them ran away by jumping the boundary wall instead of going through the main gate. Parents have been informed.
