Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarpur. Blurry and non-human photographs of voters will be removed from the electoral list. Chief Electoral Officer Vinod Singh Gunjiyal has informed all the district election officials of the state about this.

He has asked to hold a meeting at the district level and start the verification work to remove such photographs and errors from the electoral list. Instructions were also given on this through video conferencing on Wednesday.

Deputy Election Officer Satyapriya Kumar has asked all the electoral registration officers to start the verification work. Told that the target is to complete it by January 13. There are cases in which husband's name is there instead of father's name or father's name is there instead of husband's name, then it will be rectified by verification.

Along with this, a campaign will also be run regarding Demographic Similar Entry (DSE). In this, those voters whose name and father's name are same will also be verified and corrected.

Told that assembly-wise data regarding DSE has been provided by the Commission through ERO Net. In this, three categories have been defined for verification.

The first is within the assembly, the second is outside the assembly and the third is in the assembly constituency within the state. This will also be verified. After this, the BLO will fill the form and upload it through the app so that corrections can be made in it.

The pending forms should also be executed expeditiously: The Election Commission has asked for expeditious execution of the applications received under Forms Six, Seven and Eight. Under this, 273 applications for Form Six, 22 for Form Seven and 115 for Form Eight are pending in Muzaffarpur.

It was told that out of 2 lakh 32 thousand 764 applications for name addition, Form Six i.e. 31 thousand 166, Form Seven i.e. 5,398 out of 38,320 applications for name deletion and Form Eight i.e. 9,709 out of 89,721 applications for name correction have been rejected due to errors.

So many cases will be verified under DSE
