On February 2, women residents of the city's locality Gokuldham Colony had filed a complaint in the police station, accusing the kiosk operator on the road of making a video of the women by making harsh remarks, talking obscenely and heckling. Alleging that no action was taken, Loni MLA Nandkishore Gurjar reached the police station on Wednesday and lodged an FIR.
On Wednesday, when no action was taken in the matter, the people of the locality called BJP MLA from Loni Nand Kishore Gurjar to Hasanpur. The MLA reached Hasanpur Gokuldham Colony and talked to the women and people there. He talked to the executive officer on phone to get the kiosks placed illegally on the road removed.
After this, he called the Kotwal and asked the reason for not taking action in the case of molestation of women. Dissatisfied with the police station's reply, he reached the police station along with the people and women of the locality. The MLAs remained camping here for a long time. During this time the MLA talked to the CO and SP on phone.
At the same time, the people of the locality created an uproar and said that the people who have cut the colony want to capture the valuable land on the road by setting up kiosks on the road. People with criminal tendencies sit at the kiosks, take intoxicants and keep evil eye on women.
It is alleged that on February 2, a young man was passing through there on a bike with his wife. Meanwhile, the kiosk operator and his two brothers stopped the bike and tried to make a video by misbehaving with the wife. When her husband stopped her, she was threatened with death. The MLA demanded the CO to suspend three constables.
Later, CO Pankaj Kumar Tyagi reached the police station and lodged an FIR after listening to the MLA, people and women of the locality. CO Pankaj Kumar Tyagi said that on the basis of the complaint, an FIR has been registered against the accused kiosk operator Rihan and his two brothers and the matter is being investigated.
Women demonstrated by writing migration and death wishes
The women of the locality protested by holding posters of all Gokuldham residents of Hasanpur calling for justice, security rights, migration/euthanasia if no action was taken in the case. Later she also reached the police station with the MLA.
