Chief Will Get Arms License Within Two Months, Samrat Chaudhary Announced In The Assembly

State Bureau, Patna. Now the chief will get the arms license within two months of the application. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary made this announcement in the Assembly on Monday.

In response to a starred question by RLMO's Alok Kumar Singh, Chaudhary said that the Home Department will soon issue an order to the District Magistrates in this regard. They give arms licenses.

He said that already pending applications will also be resolved within 60 days. The questioning member said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had announced to give arms license to the head of the three-tier Panchayat. But, it was not implemented. In many cases the application related to this is pending for two years.

State Bureau, Patna. Sugar mills have paid 84.86 percent of the sugarcane to sugarcane farmers in the current crushing season 2025-26. The government has directed to make payment of sugarcane to sugarcane farmers within 15 days. Sugarcane Industry Minister Sanjay Kumar gave this information in response to a question brought by Barauli MLA Manjit Kumar Singh in the Assembly on Monday.

The Sugarcane Minister said that till January 31 this year, a payment of Rs 1240.66 crore has been made to the sugarcane farmers against the cane price payable of Rs 1461.92 crore. Only Rs 221.26 crore is outstanding. The payment percentage is 84.86 percent.

Payment in Bagaha Sugar Mill was 95.18 percent, 95.10 in Harinagar, 82.29 in Narkatiaganj, 78.82 in Majhauliya, 73.30 in Gopalganj, 83.68 in Sidhwalia, 79.08 in Hasanpur, 82.78 in Lauria, 76.84 in Sugauli, 59.44 in Riga and Uttar Pradesh. In Pratappur Sugar Mill, 17.89 percent of the sugarcane payment has been made to the farmers. The remaining amount of the farmers of the state will be paid soon. This is of concern to the government.

The Sugarcane Industry Minister said that the crushing work of sugarcane in sugar mills is in progress. Sugarcane is being supplied to sugar mills by sugarcane farmers. Sugarcane price is being paid by the sugar mills under the provisions contained in the Bihar Sugarcane Act. Apart from this, additional payment at the rate of Rs 10 per quintal on all varieties of sugarcane is being made to the farmers of the state from the state fund.
