CM Yogi Held A Review Meeting Regarding Development Projects, Said - The Government's Priority Is To Complete The Schemes In A Timely Manner.

CM Yogi reviewed development projects

Digital Desk, Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted a comprehensive review of major infrastructure, irrigation, energy, education and industrial development projects of the state in a high-level meeting on Sunday. The Chief Minister said that mega infrastructure and development projects are rapidly establishing Uttar Pradesh as the new hub of economic prosperity and investment, and completion of all these schemes in a timely and quality manner is the top priority of the government.

Reviewing the Ganga Expressway project, the Chief Minister directed that the construction work of Ganga Expressway should be completed by the end of February, 2026. He said that the 594 km long Ganga Expressway will provide historic strength to the connectivity of the state and will become a strong base for industrial, agricultural and logistics activities.

It was told in the meeting that this expressway passes through 12 districts and will directly benefit more than 500 villages. To assess the road quality, tests are being conducted on the basis of modern technical parameters like Roughness Index and Riding Comfort Index. Way-side amenities, rest areas, road safety features, signage and access-control systems are being developed to high standards.

Reviewing the Middle Ganga Canal Project (Stage-2), the Chief Minister said that irrigation projects are an important means of increasing agricultural production and increasing the income of farmers. It was told in the meeting that with the completion of this project, irrigation facilities will expand in the large agricultural areas of Amroha, Moradabad and Sambhal districts, which will strengthen the rural economy.

During the review of Erich Irrigation Project, it was told that this project is an important initiative towards ensuring water conservation, irrigation and drinking water availability in the Bundelkhand region. The project will provide sustainability to agricultural operations and help in better management of water resources. The Chief Minister directed to complete the incomplete works related to this project without any delay.

Reviewing the hydro power projects of Rihand and Obra areas, the Chief Minister said that strengthening energy security is necessary for the industrial development of the state. It was informed in the meeting that pumped storage based projects in Rihand-Obra area will be helpful in meeting future energy requirements and effective use of renewable energy.

While reviewing Noida International Airport, Jewar, the Chief Minister directed to take forward the land acquisition process for Phase-3. He said that Jewar Airport is going to become a major center of global connectivity, investment and employment generation of Uttar Pradesh. With its launch, Uttar Pradesh is going to pursue new possibilities as an air cargo hub. Therefore, preparations for its upcoming phases should be ensured in time. It was told in the meeting that with the operation of the first phase of the airport, modern facilities will be available to more than one crore passengers every year.

Reviewing the Multimodal Logistics Hub and Multimodal Transport Hub in Greater Noida, the Chief Minister directed to speed up the work on these projects. The Chief Minister also gave instructions to maintain constant communication with the concerned ministries of the Government of India regarding the construction of railway stations proposed for these projects etc. He said that strengthening of logistics infrastructure will reduce the cost of industries and Uttar Pradesh will become a major center of manufacturing and supply chain.

Reviewing the Chief Minister Model Composite School Scheme, the Chief Minister said that this scheme is a visionary initiative towards strengthening the quality, modern and holistic education system in the state. He said that 150 Chief Minister Model Schools are to be established in 75 districts of the state, in which modern classrooms, science laboratories, digital learning facilities, appropriate infrastructure for sports and co-scholastic activities will be developed.

The Chief Minister directed that the work related to the establishment of model schools should be expedited and in the districts where land has not been selected yet, the process of land selection should be completed immediately with the help of the local administration, so that the scheme can be implemented within the stipulated time. In the special meeting, there was also a need to speed up the work on Chilla elevated flyover.

The Chief Minister said that development in Uttar Pradesh does not only mean construction, but also timely, quality and public-use projects. He instructed the officers to carry forward the work rapidly by regularly reviewing all the major projects, so that the development journey of the state continues to move ahead with strength.

In the important meeting, the expansion of Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor and Bahraich-Shrawasti-Balrampur-Siddharthnagar-Santkabirnagar rail line connectivity was discussed. It was told in the meeting that the Bahraich-Shravasti-Balrampur-Siddharthnagar new rail line project is an important step towards connecting the border and aspirational districts with the rail network. This project will significantly enhance regional development, business activities and passenger convenience. The Chief Minister gave necessary instructions to the District Magistrates for availability of land as per the project.
