Attempts at illegal religious conversion exposed (symbolic picture)
Digital Desk, Jabalpur. A big case of illegal religious conversion has come to light in Satna district. Dharkundi police station arrested three accused who converted from Hindu to Muslim and presented them in the court, from where they were sent to jail. This action was taken after the dispute regarding the alleged illegal mosque and conversion center built in village Jhakhoura of Dharkundi police station area.
Police investigation has revealed that the accused were active in the area for a long time and were motivating people to convert to Muslim religion. The arrested accused have been identified as Lalman Chaudhary alias Abdul Rehman (68), Vijay Bharti alias Mohammad Umar (32) and Dinanath Chaudhary alias Abdullah (42). A case has been registered against all three under the Madhya Pradesh Religious Freedom Act and they have been duly arrested.
Funding was coming from different states
Preliminary investigation has also revealed that the alleged conversion center was receiving financial assistance from various states of the country. In the year 2025 itself, around Rs 8 to 9 lakhs have been deposited in the accounts of the accused. Police suspect that this funding was being sent from outside in an organized manner.
Allegation of luring people to convert to religion
According to the police, the accused used to prepare people for religious conversion by giving them various kinds of inducements. After receiving the complaint, the police collected evidence from which it became clear that along with financial help, people converted from Hindus to Muslims were being used for this activity.

At present, the police is thoroughly investigating the bank accounts, transactions, contact sources and entire network of the accused, so that other people associated with this conversion racket can also be reached.
