Fear of fire incident like Goa after cylinder blast

RWA president Amit Chaudhary said that in 2019, a fire broke out due to a cylinder blast in the cloud kitchen running in the basement of the society. Fire fighters brought the fire under control after about four hours of hard work. Then, about a week ago, a fire broke out again in the cloud kitchen operating in the basement. This increases the risk of accident. Despite complaints, the authorities are not taking any action.

If it is not stopped soon, a fire like Goa may occur here too. Apart from this, cylinder blast can cause a major accident in the society. For the last three days, an operation is going on against those running cloud kitchens in the basement. As of Wednesday, notices were issued to around 25 cloud kitchen operators. Operators have been ordered to stop operations until they comply with fire safety standards.- Rahul Pal, Chief Fire Officer
