Jagran Correspondent, Darbhanga: Social Welfare Minister Madan Sahni said that patients from the city and surrounding blocks will be able to reach Darbhanga AIIMS by covering a distance of only six kilometers via Subhankarpur, Ratnopatti and Ganauli. For this, the foundation stone of bridge construction on Khiroi river at a cost of Rs 11 crore has been laid.

The process of construction of approach road for the bridge continues.

Minister Sahni said that the process of construction of approach roads on both sides of the bridge is going on at a fast pace. This bridge will be built directly in front of AIIMS gate, which will provide great convenience to the patients.

Assurance received to start Ashok Paper Mill

The minister said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary have given assurance regarding the restarting of Ashok Paper Mill.

Free land for industries, youth will get employment

Entrepreneurs will be given free land to set up industries. The process of providing 385 acres of land in Bahadurpur area has started. Entrepreneurs will be specially motivated to provide employment to the youth of Darbhanga district.

Darbhanga got the gift of elevated road

Minister Sahni said that Darbhanga has got an elevated road, through which the distance from Darbhanga to Patna can be covered in just one and a half hours.

Road development from Laheriasarai to Bhagalpur

Plans are being made to develop the road network from Laheriasarai to Baheri, Khagaria and Bhagalpur.

MLAs expressed their views on the development of the district

Former minister and city MLA Sanjay Saraogi said that Darbhanga district has developed rapidly under the NDA government. Keoti MLA Dr. Murari Mohan Jha described the role of entrepreneurs as important in the development of the society.

Hayaghat MLA Dr. Ramchandra Prasad talked about standing firmly in the interest of entrepreneurs. Gaudabauram MLA Sujit Kumar stressed on the joint efforts of all the MLAs for the development of the district. A function was organized in the honor of elected MLAs of Darbhanga district by the Divisional Chamber of Commerce and Industries at a hotel near Nagar Bhawan.

Chamber officials honored the MLAs by giving them turban, scarf, bouquet and Chamber emblem.
