Women are inconsolable after the dead body of a young man was found on the banks of the canal in Soraon, Prayagraj. Awakening
Sansu, Jagran, Soraon (Prayagraj). The dead body of the youth was seen by the villagers on Tuesday morning on the canal track located in Pasiyapur village of the area. Police reached the spot after receiving information and searched his pockets and recovered Rs 1100 and mobile phone. Upon identification, the police informed the relatives and took the body into custody. There were no injury marks on the body. The police is investigating whether he committed suicide or was murdered.
Atul Saroj, 20 year old son of Gulab Saroj, resident of Mauaima town, used to manage his father's coal stall after studies. On Monday evening Atul had gone to the market to buy household items. When he did not return till late, his worried relatives searched for him. When we did not find out till late night, we returned home.
On getting information about the dead body being found on the canal track of Pasiyapur village on Tuesday morning, Atul's relatives reached there and identified him. Atul has an elder brother Vishal and two younger sisters who are not married yet. ACP Soraon Shyamjit Singh said that there were no injury marks on the body of the deceased. Whether he was murdered or something else will be known only after the post-mortem report.
There are marks of tightness on Atul's neck!
According to the villagers, Atul Saroj had clothes on his body. There was no injury mark on the body. But when we went closer we saw a round mark on his neck. It was feared that he might have been strangled to death. At present the police are refusing to draw any conclusions.
Is murder not a love affair?
It is said that Atul was having an affair with a girl. According to information received from police sources, the relatives of the girl whom Atul loved were ready to marry him, but the marriage was not possible due to her being an elder sister. The girl he loved has four sisters and a disabled brother. Parents have already died. Police are investigating whether the murder took place in a love affair.
Left the house with Rs 2500, found Rs 1100 in his pocket
When Atul left home for the market on Monday evening, he had taken two and a half thousand rupees from home. When his body was recovered, only Rs 1100 were found in his pocket. Mobile and Bluetooth were also recovered from him.
The mystery will be solved through mobile surveillance
When Atul left the house, he took his mobile and Bluetooth with him. Who did he talk to after leaving the house in the evening? For this the police is taking the help of mobile surveillance.
Girlfriend told that Atul committed suicide
When the police, engaged in investigation after the incident, reached Atul's girlfriend's house, his relatives got worried. If sources are to be believed, she told the police that Atul had come to meet her at night and tried to persuade her to run away. She spoke of public shame and went back. She kept thinking about him the whole night and when she went there in the morning, Atul was hanging from the noose of his dupatta. She took the body down and returned home without telling anyone. The police is busy verifying his statements.
