Jagran correspondent, Ghaziabad. Mother is the child's first teacher, first friend and biggest strength. But when the same son becomes the biggest pain for the mother, then even humanity bows in shame. One such heart-wrenching case has come to light in Jagriti Vihar area near Sanjaynagar, where a 44-year-old drug addict son brutally beat his own 70-year-old sick and helpless mother.

Nishant Thakur, who came out of the de-addiction center a few months ago, had a dispute with his wife. The mother's mistake was that she took the side of Nishant's wife Mamta. Angered by this, Nishant slapped, punched, kicked and even tried to strangle his mother.

The woman's daughter watched this inhuman incident on CCTV footage while sitting in America. For his mother's safety, he had installed CCTV cameras in the house. On the mobile screen he saw how his brother was beating his mother. Seeing this scene, the daughter sent the video to the neighbors and asked them to complain to the police. After this the police identified the accused and caught him.

Vijaypal Singh, who retired from Kendriya Vidyalaya, died a few years ago. His family now consists of wife 70-year-old Bhagwan Devi, son Nishant Thakur and daughter Nisha. Nishant and his wife Mamta have four children. Whereas Nisha lives and works in America.

Vijaypal Singh has ancestral land in Dibai of Bulandshahr from which he earns some income. Nishant's expenses are covered with that money because he has been a drug addict for years. He stayed in the de-addiction center of Gautam Buddha Nagar for many months and came here only three months ago. Daughter Nisha living in America also sometimes sends money.

Nishant often misbehaves and beats her mother due to which Nisha got upset and installed CCTV cameras in the house. So that he can keep an eye on his mother even when he is away. Accused Nishant came home late on Friday night at around 11 pm. At home he had a dispute with his wife Mamta. When the mother took the side of the daughter-in-law, Nishant got angry and attacked the mother. As soon as he came into his mother's room, he sat near his feet.

After this, he started pressing his mother by the throat. After some time, he started slapping and punching the elderly woman. In this video of about one and a half minutes, the accused angrily threw the mother's water glass and slapped her five times. Once even kicked an elderly woman. When the woman's daughter saw this video of the assault, she sent the video to her acquaintances living in her colony and asked them to send it to the police.

After receiving the video, the police caught the accused from his house. During police interrogation, it was revealed that Nishant often used to beat his mother, hence Mamta and her children did not pay attention when they came into the room, but after watching the video, Nisha decided to teach her brother a lesson.

Mother attacked nine times in one and a half minutes

In the one and a half minute video, accused Nishant is seen slapping his mother several times. Three times he pulled his mother by her hair and once even kicked her hard.

The accused has been caught on the basis of the video. If no complaint is received, the police themselves will register a case and send the accused to jail. - Dhawal Jaiswal, DCP City
