The controversy arising out of the rude remarks made by IAS officer Santosh Verma, State President of Scheduled Caste-Tribe Officers and Employees Association (AJAX) about Brahmin daughters, does not seem to be subsiding. While the Brahmin community is united and adamant on taking action against Santosh, organizations like Bhim Army and Jai Yuva Adivasi Sangathan (JAYS) have come out in support of Santosh Verma. 65 Brahmin organizations held a meeting in Bhopal on Thursday and declared a phased movement.

The rude statement made by Santosh Verma regarding Brahmin daughters has been opposed by the state's Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, Minister Inder Singh Parmar, BJP-Congress MPs-MLAs along with Brahmins and employee organizations. Protests are taking place in different ways across the state. The reply given by Santosh to the notice to the General Administration Department has also been kept entangled in the process of investigation.

Bhim Army, tribal organizations in support

On the other hand, in support of Santosh, Bhim Army chief and MP Chandrashekhar said in Datia that Santosh Verma will emerge from every house. Tribal organizations and district units of Ajax are also expressing support. The social environment is deteriorating due to this. From the ministry to other offices, two clear lines have started appearing. There is already difference of opinion regarding the subject of reservation in promotion. Its fight is going on in the High Court. Santosh's statement has given further impetus to this.

Brahmin organizations formed a joint front

On Thursday, 65 Brahmin organizations gathered in Bhopal and formed a joint front after discussing. Sudhir Nayak, President of Ministry Service Officers Employees Union and Ashok Pandey of Employees Forum said that action will be taken against Santosh Verma from the government by blowing conch shells outside the Ministry on Friday afternoon and in front of the statue of Maharana Pratap in the evening. There will be siege of the Chief Minister's residence on 14th December. State bandh will be called on 15th December. At the same time, State Congress Media Department Chairman Mukesh Nayak says that BJP does not want to take action.
