Due to the globally active La Nina, the cold water of the Pacific Ocean is controlling the weather cycle, the direct effect of which is being seen in entire Eastern India including Bhagalpur.

Due to the continuous activity of Western Disturbance, cold and snow-affected winds are reaching the plains. Instead of breaking, the cold wave seems to be getting longer. According to meteorologists, this time there is a possibility that severe cold will persist throughout January and there will be no respite from the harsh winds till February.

The data of India Meteorological Department (IMD) is also confirming this change. This time the cold pattern is different compared to previous years.
