Exhibition Held In Bareilly College, 'Konark Wheel' And 'Top Shakti' Paintings Attracted

Jagran correspondent, Bareilly. A unique confluence of art and creation was seen in the Fine Arts Department of Bareilly College. The painting exhibition held after a long gap of six years enthralled the art lovers.

In this, 110 art works made by teachers including undergraduate and postgraduate students were displayed. Konark Wheel and Top Shakti Painting were the center of attraction. The exhibition will conclude on Tuesday.

In the exhibition, not only traditional subjects but also various aspects of modern life were beautifully presented in colors and lines. The most discussed was the painting of Konark Wheel of the famous Konark Sun Temple of Odisha by graduate student Muskaan.

In this work made of charcoal, the minute details of the temple statues and the wheel were carved with such skill that the audience was forced to stop and watch.

Muskaan told that it took her one and a half month to complete this masterpiece. In charge of the department Prof. Anand Bihari Lal Lakhtakia's painting Top Shakti also left a deep impression. In this, the thread of the world has been depicted in the hands of Lord Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh, putting the spiritual philosophy on canvas.

Guests and spectators increased their enthusiasm

The exhibition was inaugurated by the chief guest, Managing Committee Secretary Dev Murthy. He praised the talent of the students and called it a big achievement of the college. Special guest was former Vice Chancellor of Sagar University, Prof. Neelima Gupta.

On this occasion, many people including former MP Praveen Singh Aron saw the exhibition and wished for the bright future of the young artists. During this, the patron principal Prof. Om Prakash Rai, Prof. Pampa Gautam, Prof. Suraj Sahu, Dr. Ashish, Prof. Manmeet Kaur, Prof. Sadre Alam, Prof. AC Tripathi, Varani Shukla etc. were present.
