Digital Desk, Bhopal. The office of the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) has taken action in the matter of fake attendance by the doctors posted in the Chief Minister Sanjeevani Clinics of the capital by breaking into the 'Sarthak App'. CMHO Dr. Manish Sharma has ordered to cut the salary of 13 doctors and dismiss one doctor. Show cause notice has been served to 25 doctors.

Salary will be cut, notice sent

CMHO Dr. Manish Sharma said that after scrutinizing the records, orders have been given to deduct the salary of 13 doctors including Dr. Siraj Ali, Dr. Prashant Mehra, Dr. Deepti, Dr. Ayman Khan, Dr. Nupur Sahu for seven days to one month. At the same time, show cause notice has been issued to 25 other doctors including Dr. Smita Lad, Dr. Shruti Saxena and Dr. Amitesh Tomar after irregularities were found.

Let us tell you that this game running through 'Sarthak App' was revealed when the CMHO office reviewed the data closely. Investigation found that the doctors were registering their presence despite being hundreds of kilometers away from the clinic.

The first case of this fraud is of Dr. Sanjeev Singh of Sanjeevani Clinic located in Gautam Nagar. Investigation revealed that Dr. Singh was marking attendance on the app despite living about 500 kilometers away from his workplace. Not only this, his daily attendance was also being recorded from a location 11 kilometers away from the clinic. That means the doctor was doing his duty on papers without coming to the clinic.

One ID, many faces, blame will fall on Dr. Minhaj

The second case is of Bagh Mughalia Clinic which is even more shocking. The faces of different people were seen in the photos that were uploaded on the Sarthak app using the ID of Dr. Minhaj posted here. It is clear that instead of the doctor, someone else was taking photographs and marking attendance. Nine notices have been given to Dr. Minhaj so far, but as no response has been received to even one, the file for his dismissal has been sent to the NHM office.

Irregular attendance is not just a matter of paper manipulation, its direct loss is borne by the poor patients who reach the clinic in the hope of treatment. Tampering with the digital system will not be tolerated at all.- Dr. Manish Sharma, CMHO, Bhopal.
