Dialogue partner, Jagran, Bahjoi. The Chief Judicial Magistrate had ordered to register a case against 12 policemen including the then Bahjoi police station in-charge in the case of sending a person detained in jail to jail in a robbery case through fake encounter and false investigation. Many officers and employees covered under this order are not currently posted in Sambhal district.
An FIR could not be registered in this case as the police did not receive a copy of the court order till Thursday evening. The then Bahjoi police station in-charge Inspector Pankaj Lavania has been promoted to the post of Deputy SP during this period and he was earlier transferred to Prayagraj whereas at present he is posted as CO in Bhawana Circle in Meerut.
The then crime inspector Rahul Chauhan, who investigated the case, is currently posted at the police training center in Badaun. At the same time, the then senior sub-inspector Naresh Kumar Singh was also promoted to the post of inspector and after being the inspector in-charge in many police stations of the district, he was transferred to Badaun last year. Presently he is Inspector in charge of Islamnagar police station.
Apart from this, the then Sub Inspector Neeraj Kumar is said to be posted in Moradabad while other named policemen are serving in the district itself. Due to non-availability of copy of the order, the report has not been filed yet in Bahjoi police station. Inspector in-charge Sant Kumar said that a copy of the court order has not been received yet, only information has been received, as soon as the copy of the order is received, a report will be filed as per the rules and further action will be taken.

On behalf of Chief Justice Magistrate Chandausi, information regarding Bahjoi police was sought. On which a report was also given by Crime Inspector Bahjoi Ajit Kumar, in which it was told that Omveer is not only the current history sitter of Badaun but also a professional criminal.
Apart from this, let us tell you that on July 7, 2022, on behalf of the then senior sub inspector of Bahjoi police Naresh Kumar, sub inspector Neeraj Kumar Matondkar, sub inspector Jamil Ahmed and others, a report was lodged in Bahjoi police station showing the arrest of three accused in which it was said that all three were caught during the checking system.
Cash was also recovered from him and during interrogation he told about other incidents. In which the robbery incident that took place on April 25, 2022 was also included against these accused, in which Omveer had presented his side in the court claiming that he was lodged in Badaun jail during this period.
The then SSI said - a well-planned conspiracy to implicate the police
The then senior sub-inspector and presently Islamnagar police station in-charge inspector Naresh Kumar Singh termed the allegations as baseless and said that the accused, who was caught at that time, had confessed to the police about carrying out the incident and had also told that he had been involved in earlier incidents also.
He said that the accused had not raised any objection to the police regarding the date for which he claimed to be in jail and even when he was produced in the court, no question was raised on the police action. He said that if he was actually detained in jail that day, he should have filed his objection before the court at that time.
He described it as a well-planned conspiracy to trap the police and said that the criminal history of the concerned accused Omveer is very serious, a total of 19 cases are registered against him at different places, including six in Islamnagar of Badaun and 12 in Bahjoi of Sambhal, these cases are related to serious crimes like robbery, theft, murderous assault and illegal weapons.
He also said that the accused's associate Dhirendra has 14 cases registered against him in Badaun and Sambhal and another associate Avnish Kumar has five cases registered against him in Badaun, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar and Sambhal, hence the entire case is being presented as a conspiracy against the police.
