Fear Of Fine Among E-rickshaw Drivers In This District Of Bihar, 450 Applied For License In One Month

Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarpur. After determining the routes of autos and e-rickshaws in the city, an intensive investigation campaign is being conducted by the Police-Transport Department. During this period, fines are being imposed for operating autos and e-rickshaws without documents. The fear of fine has started appearing on the drivers.

Before the route was decided, there were only five applications for e-rickshaw driving license. Nearly 450 applications for driving licenses were made in one month after the fine started. This number is currently for the learning driving license. To avoid trouble, a large number of drivers are falling prey to brokers.

It is said that the brokers are extorting five to seven thousand rupees. Manoj Kumar of Pakki Sarai said that he is running his family by driving an e-rickshaw. A broker charged six thousand rupees for the license.

Mohd. of Vishunpur Giddha. Parvez said that a computer shopkeeper of Madhopur Chowk charged seven thousand rupees for the license. Such brokers are active from city to village. Madhopur-Many computer shopkeepers at Madhopur Chowk of Susta Nagar Panchayat are taking license contracts for six to seven thousand rupees. Such brokers are doing this by colluding with some employees of the transport office.

DTO Kumar Satendra Yadav said that the government has fixed days for every work. Vehicle related work is being done during this period. There is a need to avoid falling prey to brokers for any work including licensing.
