Digital, Desk, Patna. A woman traveling alone in a train at Katihar Junction in Bihar had a 'scary experience' when suddenly 30-40 men entered the coach and started banging on the toilet gate, leaving her feeling unsafe and trapped in the washroom.

She remained inside and kept recording videos until the Railway Protection Force (RPF) arrived. In a post on X, she said that the incident happened when she was using the washroom.

As she was preparing to exit, a crowd of men entered the coach, shouting and pushing each other, causing chaos and making it impossible for her to get out.

After this the woman contacted railway helpline number 139 to give information about the situation and seek help. The RPF responded immediately, reached the coach, cleared the crowd and helped her return to her seat safely.

The girl narrated her ordeal through a post

She further wrote, "I was in the washroom and couldn't even get out. People were packed at the door. I closed it again, called the railway helpline (139). Thankfully, the RPF arrived. They cleared the way and helped me get back to my seat safely. Very scary experience," she wrote.

Debate on women's safety intensifies

After this post, a big discussion has started about the safety concerns of solo travelers, especially women. Many praised his wisdom in seeking help and praised the RPF for its prompt and effective action.

One user wrote, "Women's safety in India is a joke, especially in North India. The worst thing is that people without tickets board the trains and create trouble for others."

Another commented, "Imagine if you didn't have a phone, it would be a lot more crowded. A lesson: carry your phone in a situation like this. I can't imagine how difficult it would be without a phone in a situation like this."

A third said, "That must have been a really scary experience, and your reaction was absolutely spot on. Pushing and shoving in a crowd like this can lead to chaos because there are no controls, no room to move and no way to gauge intentions. Being stuck in the washroom while people are pushing at the door."

Railway officials have not yet issued any official statement about why there was suddenly so much crowd inside the coach.
