Flight Operations At Patna Airport Affected Due To Fog, Two Flights Cancelled, 13 Arrived Late

Jagran correspondent, Patna. Due to cold and dense fog, air traffic at Patna Airport is continuously being affected. On Tuesday, two flights of Indigo Airlines in Delhi-Patna-Delhi sector, 6E-2425 and 6E-5007, were canceled due to fog.

Apart from this, 13 flights coming to Patna and leaving from here for various cities were delayed from the scheduled time by about 30 minutes to one and a half hours. Passengers had to face a lot of trouble due to flight cancellations and delays. Many passengers were seen waiting at the airport for hours.

As soon as the information about flight cancellation was received, there was an atmosphere of chaos in the airport premises for some time. According to the airport administration, bad weather and delays in earlier flights had an impact on Tuesday's flight operations, causing disruption in the schedule. The administration said that the flights were canceled due to operational reasons.

At the same time, the affected passengers were advised to contact the concerned airline for alternative flight facility or refund of ticket amount. The airport administration has appealed to the passengers to check the status of their flight with the airline before travelling, in view of the current weather, so that unnecessary trouble can be avoided.
