Jagran correspondent, Saharanpur. Rajasthan Police has arrested Vishal, who was accused of making fake degrees by creating a clone website of Tantia University, Sriganganagar, from Nanauta area.
At the behest of Sarabjit, a youth from Amritsar, the accused had made a fake degree for Rs 50,000 and given it to a student from Rajasthan. Police have also arrested Sarabjit. The search is on for the remaining gang members.
Police of Sriganganagar district of Rajasthan conducted a raid in Nanauta at around 9 pm on Saturday night. With the help of local police, Vishal, resident of Sheikh Jadgan locality of Deoband Road, Nanauta police station area, was caught.
Rajasthan Police said that on the instructions of Sarabjit, a resident of Amritsar, Vishal had made a fake degree from Tantia University located in Sriganganagar. A case has been registered against both of them in the Sadar police station of Sriganganagar.
Sriganganagar Sadar police station in-charge Subhash Chand said that after arresting Sarabjit and Vishal, the gang is being traced.
Police is extracting data from Vishal's laptop. It is being ascertained from which universities the accused have prepared degree and diploma certificates.
