Dumper fell from the bridge on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in the early hours of Friday.
Jagran correspondent, Nuh. A major accident took place on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway around 5 am on Friday. A dumper going from Delhi side to Rajasthan after emptying stones, broke the railing of the underpass at bridge number 55 near Gujar Nangla village and fell on the road below. The collision was so strong that the dumper broke into two parts and a massive fire broke out.
The driver (55 years) and the cleaner (18 years) of the dumper both died in the accident. Both were residents of Neeli village of Rajasthan. Local people pulled out the injured driver and took him to the hospital, but he died during treatment.
The cleaner got trapped in the flames and burnt alive. This accident is said to have happened due to sleeplessness. The dumper was on fire for several hours and the fire brigade vehicle also reached the spot after a long time.
